JUST WOW

Panasonic Lumix DMC LX3

I haven't got with this camera yet, but when I read about it on Panasonic, it just amazed me with its capability and design. The Stylish design with huge screen reminded me the other TZ series. And another most surprising is the Hotshoe.

  • LX3 has the Ultra sensitive 1/1.6 inch CCD.
  • Panasonic also have redesigned components for this camera, as well as Noise reduction controls.
  • The LX3 boasts a large 3.0-inch LCD with a 3:2 aspect ratio and high 460,000-dot resolution. Performance is outstanding for both shooting and viewing.
  • DMC-LX3 allows full manual control for more advanced photography, the camera also allows user to take perfect shots with outstanding ease. This is made possible by Panasonic Lumix’s iA (Intelligent Auto) mode. In iA mode the camera does all the work, activating Mega O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Detection, and Intelligent Exposure. This leaves the user free to simply compose the shot and press the shutter button, with the assurance that the image will be clear, beautiful and properly exposed.
For my opinion, this camera, is far best for the Pro Photographers who also want to explore into lighter side of photography.

Sony DSC-W300 Review

I have never been fan of Sony products. But since last 2 years, they have improved their technology in quality and performance stability. With this W300 series, they have raced ahead of all point and shoot cameras with introducing 13.6 Megapixel.
When I got this camera in hand, I felt that 13.6 MP seem just too much for a compact point and shoot camera, and also useless for regular person, who neither photographer nor going to print images wall size.
There are things in the camera that really kept my attention that, DRO [Dynamic Range Optimization], HD out video and Titanium coating body.

Impressive Features:
  • Firstly, 13.6 MP [who really needs that much in a point and shoot anyway]
  • DRO [Dynamic Range Optimization]
  • Smile Shutter
  • Superior Intelligent Scene Recognition
  • Super SteadyShot Image Stabilizer
Sony should've improve their buttons, they're way too small and hard to press Menu and Delete button.

Overall, This Sony DSC W300 is impressive with superior 13.6MP and the Fastest processor engine.

Panasonic Lumix TZ5 Review

THIS IS MARVELOUS
When I picked up this camera, It impressed me right away with the size of marvelous lens.

First impressions:

. extremely well built - solid construction
. Leica lens - Superb sharpness quality
. jam packed full of features - most very useful
. iA mode seems to produce great pictures
. Colour is good - vivid mode produces bright pictures
. LCD screen would have to be the best of any camera
. very good value
. true point and shoot fully auto camera
. compact for a 10x optical (credit to Panasonic)
. This camera is lots of fun and a joy to use

And one more thing... the Video feature, Just Simply amazing. LOVE IT. I have tried with 4GB SD and ended up with almost 2 hours of complete HD quality.

Believe me or not, there is no Cons to consider.

Nikon S600 Review

I have used this camera for a week and found simple to use. The dial for the navigation the menu, makes it slightly easier as well as the menu icons are bigger than older models. I really like the color of it, unfortunately there's only one color, is still good and classy. It's in an outstanding camera. It is fast (there are faster cameras but this is more than adequate), accurate, and produces excellent images under difficult lighting situations. The lens is sharp with well controlled distortions. The metering is spot on accurate. The battery has plenty of power for a full day of shooting (you should always carry a spare just in case). Like most sub-compacts this little guy lack a viewfinder. I think Nikon should include viewfinder in newer point and shoot cameras. I do agree that this one has the brighter and sharper screen that can be brightened up and I had no problems shooting on sunny days.

Nikon removed some post-processing features from the camera that I miss, The red-eye correction tool is gone as well as the ability to convert an image to black-and-white. Black-and-white pictures must be shot that way. Well, there are millions of ways to convert your images into Black and white. The high iso noise levels are simply amazing. This little guy at 1600 iso blows away the competition. I would like more control over image size and compression. I wish Nikon hadn't removed the "Panoramic assist" mode from the scene menu. Yeah I really miss that. Also that the software comes in the box from Nikon, they also have the Arcsoft Panorama Maker, which is just an simply great program to stitch any kind of multiple images.

Everything is good about this camera, i really wish they kept the viewfinder. That would really help in the bright sunny day, when the LCD screen gets inaccurate with colors. If you are upgrading your camera after long time, I think this might be the best one for you, in matter of simplicity and unique features.

Well, I love electronic gadgets. any kind of, any type of. specifically crazy about cameras and camera accessories.
